Suzuki Motorcycle is long rumoured to be introducing a quarter-litre sportbike. Previously, patent images were also leaked showcasing an interest in product development. Unfortunately, there has been no information regarding the upcoming 250cc sportbike from Suzuki stables.
Now, there are reports suggesting that Suzuki Gixxer 250 could make its first public appearance at Intermot-Cologne on October 5th. Otherwise, Suzuki could opt to showcase their new quarter-litre sportbike at 2016 EICMA on November 10th.
Post public debut, several international markets could receive Suzuki Gixxer 250 by 2016-end. So far, there is no report whether Suzuki will bring the Gixxer 250 to India anytime soon. Previously, Suzuki India confirmed that a product like Gixxer 250 would be launched when the time is right.
At this moment, engine specification for the Suzuki Gixxer 250 has not been revealed. There is a possibility that Suzuki will utilise a re-tuned Inazuma 250cc parallel twin, liquid cooled engine. From these plans, it is understood that Suzuki would like to offer an entry-level sportbike just like its competitors Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki.
