Royal Enfield Himalayan To Be Showcased At EICMA 2016
Royal Enfield will be showcasing the Himalayan adventure motorcycle at the 2016 EICMA show in Italy.
Royal Enfield will be showcasing their adventure-tourer motorcycle, the Himalayan at the 2016 EICMA show in Italy.
This move from Royal Enfield hints that the motorcycle manufacturer has an intention of launching the Himalayan in the European market.
Royal Enfield will be showcasing the fuel-injected version of the Himalayan rather than the carburettor version which is sold in India.
With the Euro 4 emission norms being implemented from January 2017, the fuel-injected version will be tuned to meet the new emission norms.
Currently, only the carburettor version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan is sold in India, but from next year the fuel-injected variant has to be launched to meet the Indian emission norms.
But it will be interesting to see if Royal Enfield will enter the European market with the Himalayan, where the adventure motorcycle segment is dominated by KTM, BMW and Triumph.
Royal Enfield has been gradually expanding its reach in the International market, especially in the United States and a couple of countries in Europe.
Although the export figures of the Royal Enfield is not that great, it is good to start making their presence felt. With the new twin-cylinder motorcycle in the making, the company wants to establish itself in the International market.
