Rajini Krishnan Needs Your Help To Retain His Superbike Crown
Rajini Krishnan is the reigning Malaysian Superbike Champion. The Indian rider needs everyone's help to defend/retain his Championship reign. Motorsport is not a common sport in India and has not received much recognition so far.
Pirelli Malaysia Superbike Championship is set to begin on May 13, 2016. Round one will be held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Rajini Krishnan is trying to raise funds through crowdfunding as corporate sports sponsorship in India for motorsport is rather hard to garner.
Overall a yearly sponsorship of Rs. 16 lakh is needed for five rounds in the 2016 Malaysian Superbike championship. The Indian rider has never taken up corporate sponsorships, his ambition has always been fuelled by his fans and supporters.
He is trying to raise Rs. 14 lakh through crowdfunding. All the funds will be utilised for an all-new Kawasaki ZX10 R superbike. Remainder of the funds will be used for spares, parts, support, and mechanic fees. Rajini Krishnan will be riding for Chia Motoracing P.J race team.
The Indian racer also plans to enter the MotoGP Championship by taking part in Moto2 initially as a wildcard entrant. Rajini Krishnan's second option will be to join the Spanish Superbike Championship, which will provide him with a base for his future endeavours.
