Nicky Hayden Is Back With Honda For 2016 Suzuka Eight-Hours
The Honda factory team is all set to take on the 2016 Suzuki 8 hours FIM Endurance World Championship on CBR1000RR SP Fireblade race machines. The 8 hours FIM Endurance World Championship will be held on July 31.
The big news, however, is the confirmation of the 2006 MotoGP World Champion, Nicky Hayden, who will ride for the factory MuSASHi RT HARC-PRO squad with Takumi Takahashi.
Nicky Hayden had raced only once in the iconic event, in which, he lasted only one lap. "For me it is a great honour to go and compete in a race such as Suzuka 8 hours with a long history and very different type of race with running start, pit stops and working with teammates to find the right set up for all us," said Hayden.
"With the long summer break we have, I am happy to have a chance to stay on the bike and stay sharp. Will be a long, tough challenge with many good teams but would be great to win and add the trophy to my collection."
