2016 MotoGP Qatar Final Pre-Season Testing Results
The 2016 pres-season testing for MotoGP riders and teams has come to an end. The final round of testing was conducted at Losail International circuit in Qatar. All teams and riders were present and tested out their final bikes and setting for the 2016 Championship.
Yamaha dominated the final pre-season testing with Jorge Lorenzo setting the fastest combined time. Valentino Rossi seems to be still finding the sweet spot with his motorcycle. Several changes and updates for the 2016 MotoGP Championship have put all teams and riders on par.
Surprisingly, the final day witnessed Scott Redding on his Pramac Ducati and Maverick Vinales with Suzuki showcase the potential of their bikes. Redding set the second fastest time, which was closely followed by Vinales.
Repsol Honda Team is experiencing mixed results with their riders. The last day saw Marc Marquez set the fourth fastest lap time. Dani Pedrosa struggled with pace and could only set the fourteenth fastest time around Losail circuit in Qatar.
Ducati seems to have an advantage and looks powerful in all areas with their bike. Both Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone will be tough competitors in the 2016 Championship. Yamaha and Honda will face tough competition from both Suzuki as well as Ducati.
