Honda, Suzuki, & Ducati Lead Silverstone GP Ahead Of Qualifying
So far, all riders competing in the MotoGP 2016 season have been finding the conditions at the Silverstone extremely difficult. Marc Marquez has managed to set the fastest lap timing during the Free Practice three.
Maverick Vinales was second fastest with his factory Suzuki machinery. The Spaniard was only 0.003 seconds slower than Marc Marquez. Vinales is Suzuki's top rider and is chasing his first race victory in just his second season in the MotoGP Championship.
Andrea Iannone was fastest throughout the session. Unfortunately, factory Ducati rider had an accident and set the third fastest lap time on his second bike. It is interesting to see Honda, Suzuki, and Ducati fighting for pole position at Silverstone GP.
Both the Yamaha riders were not able to set fast lap times around Silverstone. Lorenzo and Rossi could only manage fifth and tenth fastest time. The duo usually spends time on race setup and do not bother with qualifying that much, which seems exactly what they are trying to achieve.
Qualifying at the Silverstone GP will commence on September 3rd, at 6:40pm IST. So far, it is very difficult to predict who will take pole position for the 2016 Silverstone GP. Race day is scheduled on September 4th, at 8:00 pm IST, stay tuned as weather could plan a vital role in the race.
