Mahindra Racing Scores Double Victory At Misano
Mahindra Racing blasted its way past the rest of the field at the fifth and sixth rounds of the Italian national Racing Championshp (CIV) as rider Marco Bezzecchi won both races at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
Bezzecchi who was entered as wildcard for the races cruised to victory in both races on his recently upgraded Mahindra MGP30 Moto 3 bike, finishing both races in under 28 minutes and 8 seconds, with a fastest lap time of 1 minute 44.141.
17-year old Bezzecchi rides for the Aspar Team Mahindra Moto3 outfit in the Moto 3 category of the Moto Gp championship and is part of Valentino Rossi's VR46 Riders Academy.
Mahindra had recently upgraded its MGP30 bike with a new gearbox before the German Grand Prix in July, and the races at Misano proved to be a perfect testing ground for the upgraded bike.
Mahindra is the only Indian manufacturer to take part in the Moto 3 Championship, and earlier this year the team picked up its first win the Moto 3 World championship when Francesco Bagnaia won the 2016 Dutch Grand Prix at the Assen TT circuit.
