Cannot Afford The KTM RC8? Then Here Is A Solution
Autolog Designs have developed a KTM RCX kit inspired by the RC8 motorcycle which can be bolted to the RC390/200.
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM's superbike, the RC8 is a motorcycle built for brute power. Without any electronic aids, the RC8 is as raw as a modern superbike can get.
The RC8 is powered by a 1,195cc V-Twin engine which dishes out 175bhp. Well, it's a lot of power, but everybody cannot afford that. So, KTM launched the smaller RC twins, the RC390 and RC200 which has the similar aesthetics as the RC8 and comes with an affordable price tag.
But here is a solution to make your RC390 or RC200 look like an RC8 without burning a hole in your pocket. Yes, Autolog Design has come up with an RC8 inspired bodywork that can be fitted on the smaller RC motorcycles.
It's named as the KTM RCX, the custom bodywork is fabricated in-house by Autolog Design. The headlamps of the modified RC390 is inspired by the concept RC690 and the vertically mounted projector headlamps are originally sourced from the RC8.
Autolog Design states the custom body kits can be bolted to the original mounts and are available with two seat options. The prototype RCX developed by the design house wears a RedBull livery.
The KTM RCX body kit will cost you Rs 50,000 in addition to the price of donors KTM RC 390/200. The modified motorcycle comes with the Race Dynamics ECU and BMC air filter for performance.
With the modified RCX kits, the standard RC390/200 will put on a weight of just 3kgs. But with the carbon and race version kits, the motorcycle will be lighter by 1kg to 4kg. Autolog Design also produces carbon fibre parts in collaboration with Taneja Aerospace.
