KTM 200 Duke Production Halted; Makes Way For Gen2 Model
The production of 200 Duke has been halted in India, thus making way for its second-gen iteration. KTM is likely to launch the 200 Duke sometime during January 2017 in India.
KTM recently showcased its second generation of 125 Duke, 200 Duke, 250 Duke, and 390 Duke. All four models are expected to go on sale internationally by early-2017. Now, production of the 200 Duke has been halted, thus making way for second generation models production.
The 200 Duke has also been removed from KTM official Indian website. A few dealerships will still have existing stock. Unfortunately, KTM India has not managed to sell a single unit of the 200 Duke since the previous month.
Indian customers are most likely to witness the launch of second-gen KTM 200 Duke during January 2017. Deliveries of 200 Duke is expected to commence a few months post-launch. The 200 Duke is their most popular model and is expected to receive similar reaction once again.
Bajaj Auto's facility will continue to manufacture the second-gen KTM Duke models. Indian manufacturing unit is being used as an export hub as well by KTM. Halting production and focusing on future models is beneficiary for faster delivery of the second-gen KTM Dukes.
