Kawasaki Launches All-New Special Edition Model In India
India Kawasaki Motors has launched the Ninja 300 in a special edition avatar. Now, the Japanese-based manufacturer will offer customers their all-new Ninja 300 KRT Edition. You may be wondering what 'KRT' stands for, it is Kawasaki Racing Team.
Ninja 300 KRT Edition will be available pan India for Rs. 3.61 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). Previously, Kawasaki introduced a special edition Ninja 300 in India back in November 2015. Kawasaki dealerships have already started accepting bookings and have bikes on display.
KRT Edition Ninja 300 motorcycle receives Black and Green paint job. The paint scheme has been adopted from Kawasaki's World Superbike race machine. Fuel cap and lower part of the fairing will adorn KRT Edition badges setting it apart from regular Ninja 300.
There have been no mechanical changes carried out by Kawasaki for Ninja 300 KRT Edition. It continues to be powered by a parallel twin 296cc, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 38.4bhp, along with 27Nm of peak torque, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
In international markets, Kawasaki offers the Ninja 300 KRT Edition with ABS. Unfortunately, India still does not get this safety feature even as an option. It is most likely to be offered as standard safety equipment sometime during 2017.
