Aspar Racing Team Searching Teammate For Alvaro Bautista
Very few seats remain vacant in MotoGP for the 2017 Championship. The Aspar Racing Team has announced only Alvaro Bautista as their main rider. So far, Aspar Racing Team is undecided about Bautista's teammate for next year.
Previously, Aspar Racing Team were likely to retain Colombian rider, Yonny Hernandez. The team would have preferred Eugene Laverty, however, he has received a factory contract for WSBK Championship.
Now, post-2016 Aragon GP rumours have surfaced that Aspar Racing Team could let go of Yonny Hernandez. Karel Abraham could make a return to MotoGP competition with Aspar Racing Team. Currently, Abraham competes in WSBK Championship with Milwaukee BMW.
Yonny Hernandez has not impressed team officials and is also last in the Championship. Both Laverty and Hernandez ride Ducati's GP14.2 race machine. Unfortunately, Eugene Laverty has outscored his teammate by a huge margin, which has hinted at this decision.
Abraham as well does not have a contract for 2017 with a manufacturer in WSBK. The 26-year old Czech rider has extensive racing experience. With a competitive racing package from Ducati, Karel Abraham could compete with the middle runners.
