First Jack Daniel's Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycle Sold At Charity Auction
The first Jack Daniel's Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle raises $150,000 for a charity helping soldiers at an auction in Las Vegas.
The first and only unsold 2016 Limited Edition Jack Daniel's Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle has been sold at an auction for $150,000 (Rs. 1 crore).
The winning bid for the #001 2016 Limited Edition Jack Daniel's Indian Chief Vintage motorcycle was put in by collector Vincent Amato.
All proceeds from the auction which took place at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, including the money raised by the motorcycle will benefit Operation Ride Home, a program that helps active-duty U.S. military personnel in traveling home to visit their families.
150 2016 Limited Edition Jack Daniel's Indian Chief Vintage and Indian Springfield were created by Indian Motorcycles to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Jack Daniel Distillery.
149 of these motorcycles were made available for purchase to the public on March 4, 2016, for a sum of $29,999 (Rs. 20 lakh). All the motorcycles sold out in eight hours.
All of the custom motorcycles feature Jack Daniel's-inspired custom paint and logos, badging, leather seat and saddlebags.
Custom details include chrome floorboards, heated seats and blacked out speedometer bezel and fuel gauge, fuel cap and fender tips.
Speaking of the fenders, they feature the names of all seven master distillers who have overseen the distilling process over its 150-year history.
Each motorcycle comes with its own authentic Jack Daniel's barrel top, custom inscribed with your name, your bike model, your bike number and the VIN.
Also seen on the barrel top and is the inscription of Jack Daniel's "Bottles and Throttles Don't Mix " admonition to its riders to keep drinking and riding separate.
