Indian Motorcycles To Launch Its Affordable Cruiser In India On July 13
Indian Motorcycle has commenced accepting orders for its most affordable cruiser bike. The Scout Sixty will now officially be launched on July 13, 2016, in Mumbai. The Indian Scout Sixty model is priced attractively at Rs. 11.99 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Powering the 2016 Scout Sixty cruiser is an all-new 999cc V-Twin engine layout with liquid-cooling. The engine produces 58.2bhp, along with 88.8Nm of peak torque, and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Indian Motorcycle has developed an all-new electronic fuel injection.
The Scout Sixty will come retrofitted with a single seat option. Several accessories will be on offer from Indian Motorcycles to customise the cruiser bike. Only three colour options have been provided by Indian Motorcycles for the Scout Sixty and they are Red, Black, and White.
Currently, the entry-level cruiser segment is dominated by Harley-Davidson's Street 750. The Street 750 is locally assembled and witnesses an impressive pricing. Indian Motorcycle plans on locally manufacturing several of its cruiser bikes to offer attractive pricing in India.
Indian Motorcycle recently inaugurated the Chandigarh dealership and will soon be inaugurating one more outlet in Cochin. The American-based two-wheeler manufacturer also has dealerships in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurgaon, and Mumbai.
