Honda Two-Wheelers Sets Record Sales Of Over 4.5 Lakh In July 2016

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is breaking all the previous sales records. For the very first time, monthly sales have crossed the 4.5 lakh barrier. The Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer is the largest seller for four months in a row in India.

In July 2016, Honda Two-Wheelers managed to sell 4,53,844 units. During July 2015, they managed to sell 3,89,555 units. Honda Two-Wheelers witnessed an overall growth of 17 percent, while the two-wheeler industry experienced a nine percent growth.

The Activa is India's number one selling two-wheeler, as it crossed three lakh sales in a single month. In total, Honda scooters managed to sell 3,09,144 units, thus achieving 19 percent growth. Honda motorcycles managed to sell 1,20,383 units during July 2016.

The export industry witnessed a decline of nearly 15 percent; however, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India reported export growth of 33 percent. In the month of July 2016 itself, Honda managed to export a total 24,317 two-wheelers to international markets.
