Honda Philippines, Inc. Rolls Out Its 5 Millionth Motorcycle

Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) achieved another milestone by rolling out its 5 millionth motorcycle manufactured in the country. For celebrating the occasion, HPI invited the press, special guests and VIPs to witness the 5 millionth unit. That unit was a red XRM 125 which has a unique livery and components of drivetrain finished in chrome.

The 5 millionth unit was made in Tanauan, Batangas plant. The XRM 125 is the only motard underbone in its class, it is company's bestseller and a model unique to the Philippines. The milestone unit was accompanied by other milestone motorcycles celebrating the 4 millionth, 3 millionth, 2 millionth and first millionth motorcycles produced in the Philippines.

Daiki Mihara, President of HPI and Toshiyuki Shimabara, Operating officer of Honda Motor Co. Ltd was sharing some inspirational words for the momentous occasion. Mihara said, "The market is continuously growing at an exceptional speed. At this rate, we hope to achieve our next millionth within two years. Honda Philippines are ready for this growth and we have the capacity to align to the market demand."

HPI has an annual production capacity of over 500,000 units. It first started manufacture of motorcycles in 1973 at Parañaque factory. HPI is getting closer to its Vision 2025 which is "a leading Philippine Company driven by Filipinos, serving the joy of mobility for every Filipino Family."
