Honda Celebrates International Women’s Day Across India
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India celebrated the International Women's Day across India on March 8, 2016. The spirit of womanhood was celebrated across all Honda Traffic Parks across the country. Day-long festivities were organised for all women present at the Traffic Parks.
A celebration of womanhood was organised at all eight Honda Traffic Parks. At this moment, Honda Traffic Parks are present at Chandigarh, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Nashik, Hyderabad and two in Delhi. Several more Traffic Parks are expected to come up soon.
1,200 female riders were felicitated at Honda's Traffic Parks across India. Honda provides women empowerment through their two Vocational Training-cum-Livelihood centres in Gurgaon and Gujarat. So far, over 450 women have developed vocational skills through this effort.
A two-months course providing practical and theoretical knowledge is offered to women. On completion, women receive certification from National Skills Development Council. The entire staff employed by Honda at these centres comprises of women staff solely.
