One best selling scooter in India in this category is the Honda Activa 125. Now, Mahindra has a competitor for Honda, in the form of the new Gusto 125, which will soon be launched in India. So how do the Activa 125 and Gusto 125 compare in terms of pricing, design, engine specification, and features? Let's find out.

  • Honda Activa 125: Rs. 63,000 on-road (Delhi)
  • Mahindra Gusto 125: Rs. 60,000 onward [estimated price]

The Honda Activa 125 looks very formal, in terms of design, but also manages a sharp, sporty look. The Activa 125 features the indicators and headlight up front, but nothing eye-catching in terms of design. The overall design looks very similar to the Activa 3G, but with minor changes that set it apart.

The Mahindra Gusto on the other hand is a very stylish scooter. The air vents and the inserts around the turn signals give the scooter a very smart front fascia. One look at the Gusto 125 will leave you thinking how plain, or rather empty the Activa 125 looks.

The Gusto 125 comes with telescopic front forks, alloy wheels, under-seat storage and a small pocket below the instrument console to store small items, like a wallet or mobile phone. One of the major highlights of the Gusto is the height adjustable seat, which has been retained from the Gusto 110.

Both scooters, the Honda Activa 125 and the Mahindra Gusto 125 are very similar in terms of engine displacement, power, and features. One major aspect that set these two scooters apart is design, which the Gusto scores really well. The Activa's brand value could make people opt for Honda, but the Gusto is a really good scooter. The Gusto's design and the seat height adjustable feature gives the scooter an edge over the Activa 125.
