Hero MotoSports Take Part In The Afriquia Merzouga Rally With CS Santosh

Hero MotoSports has entered the world of rallying and has taken part in the Afriquia Merzouga Rally, with riders CS Santosh and Joaquim Rodrigues onboard the Speedbrain 450. The Prologue stage has ended with both Hero MotoSports riders finishing in the top 15 places.

The Prologue stage is 3km stage and saw Kevin Benavides astride his Honda win. Rodrigues finished in the eighth place while the Indian champ finished in 15th place. Stage 1 of the Afriquia Merzouga Rally started this morning and the stage has a 165km special test section.

The Afriquia Merzouga Rally continues on for another 4 days and both riders are confident about a good place in the rally. Hero too has done a very impressive job, keeping in mind it is new to rallying.

The top five results after the prologue stage are as follows
1. Kevin Benavides (ARG) Honda
2. Adrien van Beveren (FRA) Yamaha
3. Ricky Brabec (USA) Honda
4. Ruben Faria (POR) Husqvarna
5. Stefan Svitko (SVK) KTM
