Hero MotoCorp Sets Foot In The Middle East With Four New Models
Hero MotoCorp, India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has partnered with Dubai's Al Futtaim for its foray into the UAE market, with the opening of the company's first GCC showroom in the Country.
To begin with, Hero MotoCorp has launched four new models in the emirate on Tuesday. Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) has appointed Al Futtaim as its distributor for the Gulf countries.
Hero MotoCorp's products will start at a price of Dh 3,900 (approximately Rs 70,649) and will go up to Dh 7,000 (approximately Rs 1,26,807) depending on the engine capacity.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, senior officials of both the companies said that soon, the Hero MotoCorp brand will be introduced in other Gulf markets.
The association of the two companies aims to capture good market share in the GCC region that comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
For the last 15 consecutive years, Hero MotoCorp has remained the world's biggest two-wheeler manufacturer regarding volumes sold by a single company in a calendar year.
Hero MotoCorp has sold over 6.63 million two-wheelers in the last financial year. Since the company's beginning in the year 1984, Hero has sold over 70 million motorcycles and scooters in total sales.
