Hero MotoCorp Introduces The Dash Scooter For Sri Lanka
Hero MotoCorp showcased the Dash scooter for the very first time at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi. Now, the Dash scooter has been introduced in the Sri Lankan market. The Indian manufacturer has in fact renamed the Maestro Edge as the Dash for Sri Lanka.
The Dash scooter for the Sri Lankan market will be offered in dual-tone colour options - Sports Red, Techno Blue, and Vibrant Orange, which will be available only in the VX trim variant. The LX variant of Dash scooter will receive single/ solid paint scheme options.
Powering the Dash will be the same engine that does duty in the Maestro Edge. A 110.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine will develop 8.31bhp, along with 8.30Nm of peak torque. The Dash will attain a top speed of 85 km/h.
The Indian-based two-wheeler manufacturer has launched the Duet and Maestro Edge (Dash) scooter in the country recently. Both scooters from Hero MotoCorp showcase the company's future design philosophy for India as well as international markets.
In India, the Maestro Edge (Dash) scooter costs Rs. 50,551 ex-showroom (Mumbai) for the base variant. The Dash in Sri Lanka is priced at LKR 2.26 lakh for the LX, while the VX variant costs LKR 2.34 lakh. Stay tuned for more updates from Hero MotoCorp.
