Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has launched the all-new Achiever 150 commuter motorcycle in India.
The all new Achiever 150 is priced at Rs. 61,800 for the drum brake variant and 62,800 for the disc brake variant [Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).]
The 2016 Achiever 150 is powered by an all-new 149.2cc engine developed in-house by Hero. The single-cylinder engine produces 13.4bhp @ 8,000rpm and 12.80Nm @ 5,000rpm.
The BS-IV compatible engine is also equipped with Hero's i3S engine start stop technology which helps increase mileage. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox which sends the power to the rear wheel.
The Achiever 150 will sprint from 0-60km/h in five seconds and can hit a top speed of 110km/h. To ensure it comes to halt quickly, Hero is offering the new bike with a 240mm disc brake up front as an option.
Design wise, the new Achiever 150 features a trapezoidal headlamp which will always remain on for safety reasons. The bulging fuel tank gives it a muscular look while the new body graphics look quite cool.
The seat is quite long and is designed for comfort while the rear end looks sleek. The new Achiever 150 sits on alloy wheels which are painted a stealthy black.
Hero has made the bike available in three new color schemes, Panther Black Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Ebony Grey Metallic.
To mark 70 million customers, Hero also launched a special edition of the new Achiever 150. Only 70 of these special edition Achiever 150s will ever hit the road.
