Here’s The First Harley-Davidson To Get The New Milwaukee Eight Engine In India
Harley-Davidson recently revealed the new Milwaukee Eight engine that will replace its current engine lineup for many motorcycles. The engines being a global product, they will arrive to India as well, and here is all the details you need to know.
Firstly, the Milwaukee Eight engine will be brought to India on the upcoming Harley-Davidson Road Glide tourer. The Harley-Davidson Road Glide will be brought to India as a completely Built Unit (CBU), and will be positioned below the Street Glide Special in India.
The Harley-Davidson Road Glide has always been popular among those who prefer tourers. The Road Glide features a frame mounted fairing, high raised handlebars, low slung seat, a 4.3-inch infotainment system, and a smart security system.
Powering the motorcycle will be the new Harley-Davidson Milwaukee Eight V-Twin engine that produces 151Nm of torque. The engine features four valves per cylinder, and the engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Harley-Davidson Road Glide rides on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels.
In India, the Harley-Davidson Road Glide will be offered in four colours: Black, Blue, Red, and Silver. Being sold as a CBU in India, expect the motorcycle to cost around Rs. 28 – 30 lakh in India. This will put the Road Glide directly in competition with the Honda Goldwing and the Indian Chief Vintage.
