Ducati Unveils The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Anniversary Edition
Ducati has unveiled an all-new special edition model to celebrate their 90th anniversary. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Anniversary Edition was unveiled at the Hill Climb event. Only 400 models of the special edition Multistrada 1200 will ever be built.
Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Anniversary Edition is powered by a 1198.4cc L-Twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Ducati engineers have tuned the engine to produce 160bhp, along with 136Nm of torque. The engine is mated to 6-speed gearbox with light action hydraulic clutch.
The special edition model receives Ducati Cornering Lights, Ducati Safety Pack, Ducati Traction Control, and Ducati Wheelie Control. Engineers have also equipped the bike with cruise control, riding mode, hands-free ignition, and Bosch 9ME multi-calibration cornering ABS.
Carlin Dunne, holds the record of 9 minutes, 53 seconds at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 2012. He rode a Ducati Multistrada and it was the fastest petrol two-wheeler to do the run. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition is introduced to celebrate 100 years of the hill climb event.
