Ducati's Rarest Motorcycle Lands In India — Details Revealed
India's only Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario is sold in Pune Ducati dealership, Bavaria Motors.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati introduced the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario to celebrate the company's 90th anniversary. The special edition Panigale was limited to 500 units.
Now, the Ducati 1299 Panigale S Anniversario has landed in India. Yes, a customer from Pune, Mayur Sakpal has grabbed the keys of the limited edition Panigale from the Ducati dealer Bavaria Motors, Pune.
The 1299 Panigale S Anniversario sold in Pune is the 277th motorcycle produced in the limited edition lineup. Launched in July 2016, this is the expensive motorcycle sold by Ducati in India. Although, the price is not revealed, it is expected to cost around Rs55 lakh.
The limited edition Panigale is powered by the same 1285cc Superquadro L-Twinengine. But the bore size has been increased by 4mm. Now the engine produces 10bhp more than its regular model, 205bhp and the peak torque is increased by ten percent.
Ducati has also revamped the chassis of the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario to offer better handling and traction. The suspension of the motorcycle has also been upgraded to aid the improved chassis.
The electronics in the limited edition Panigale includes Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Bosch Cornering ABS and Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) for fast clutchless up and downshifts.
The 1299 Panigale S Anniversario sports an all-new paint job inspired by the Ducati racing motorcycles. The motorcycle features white, black and Ducati Red colours and the wheels get a special gold colour scheme.
The other unique features on the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario are top triple clamp and steering head inserts, which is machined from solid aluminium alloy. On the top triple clamp the motorcycle's production number has been laser-etched, number 277 in this case.
