Dakar Stage 12 Updates: Yamaha’s Helder Rodrigues Wins
Stage 12 of the 2016 Dakar Rally was the penultimate stage and the winners were Yamaha's Helder Rodrigues in the motorcycle category and former WRC driver Mikko Hirvonen in the car category.
In the overall standings, Toby Price leads the motorcycle category, followed by Stefan Svitko in second and Pablo Quintanilla in third. Stage 12 winner Rodrigues is in the fourth place.
In the car category, Dakar 2015 winner Nasser Al-Attiyah finished stage 12 in the second place, and also stands second in the overall ranking. Stephane Peterhansel leads the overall ranking in the car category.
In the quad category, Marcos Patronelli took the stage win, and also leads in the overall rankings. Pieter Versluis took the stage 12 win in the truck category, followed by Federico Villagra, who stands third in the overall ranking.
