Benelli To Launch A Scrambler And A Tourer In India During 2017
Benelli will launch the TRK 502 dual purpose motorcycle and the Leoncino scrambler in India during 2017.
Benelli entered India recently and has seen very good success in the country. To keep the sales momentum going, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has decided to launch two motorcycles — the TRK 502 and the Leoncino.
Both motorcycles, the TRK 502 and the Benelli Leoncino first made their debut at EICMA 2015. The TRK 502 made its Indian debut at the 2016 Auto Expo that took place in February this year, followed by making another debut at the 2016 India Bike Week (IBW).
The Benelli TRK 502 is a dual purpose motorcycle that features long travel suspension, knobby tyres, a flyscreen to keep the wind off the rider, and optional panniers to help store away stuff for long distance travelling.
The Benelli Leoncino on the other hand is the Italian manufacturer's take on competing with the other Italian brand — Ducati. The Leoncino will take on the Ducati Scrambler Sixty2.
Highlighting the engines, both motorcycles will be powered by a 500cc, in-line, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that makes 47bhp and 45Nm of peak torque. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
When launched, both motorcycles will definitely help Benelli with sales in India as the TRK 502 and the Leoncino will be priced under the Rs 8 lakh range, making them an affordable choice.
