Engine & Gearbox

The Benelli Tornado 302 gets its power from a 300cc inline twin engine with dual overhead camshafts. The engine sends the power to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox.

The inline twin produces 35bhp of peak power at a heady 12,000 rpm and also churns out 27Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm.

Benelli claims that the Tornado 302 will hit 60km/h from standstill in 3.4 seconds, while the sprint to 100km/h is completed in 8.34 seconds. The Tornado 302 tops out at 154km/h.

The Tornado is fitted with 41mm upside down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear.

Both wheels are 17 inch alloys and are fitted with tyres from Meltzer. The front is a 110 section tyre while the rear is a 150 section tyre.

Braking Duties are handled by260mm twin disc brakes up front while the rear tyre is bought to a halt by a single 240mm disc.

The Tornado features a fully faired design. The two standout design features are the twin headlamps up front (a Benelli signature) and the double barrel exhaust.
