Bajaj VS400 To Be Equipped With Slipper Clutch
Bajaj's
latest
offering
to
the
Indian
performance
motorcycle
segment,
the
VS400
is
likely
to
be
launched
in
the
coming
festive
season.
According
to
a
report,
the
VS400
will
be
equipped
with
the
slipper
clutch.
This information appears to be legit as the KTM Duke 390 and KTM RC390 comes with the slipper clutch. Moreover, the VS400 shares the same powertrain and many other components from the Austrian manufacturer.
One more report states that the VS400 will not be sold under Pulsar brand, instead of that a new sub-brand will be created for the VS400. Although the concept version of this motorcycle was named as Bajaj Pulsar CS 400.
Coming to the technical aspects, the VS 400 will be powered by 373.27cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled mill, borrowed from the KTM Duke 390 with Bajaj's DTS-i technology which produces 34bhp. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox.
The VS400 has a long list of features - dual-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, black alloy wheels, stubby exhaust, MRF Revz C1 and FC1 tyres, dual digital cluster display and daytime running LED lights.
It is speculated that the VS 400 will be launched during Diwali festive season at the end of October. The motorcycle is expected to be launched with a price tag of Rs 1.7 lakh ex-showroom and likely to be available in ABS and non-ABS variants.
