Bajaj Auto Working On A 125CC ‘V’ Motorcycle
Bajaj Auto is working on a 125cc V motorcycle which is expected to be launched next year.
Bajaj Auto is working on a 125cc variant of the popular V motorcycle. The new motorcycle may be named as V125 or V12 as the motorcycle is already in the making.
Bajaj is looking to repeat the success of V with the smaller engine which has an added advantage of the increase in mileage. The 125cc V is expected to have a similar design as the currently sold V motorcycle.
But the Vikrant metal may not be used in this 125cc motorcycle. The cafe racer themed design will remain same in the new motorcycle.
The V125 will be powered by the same 125cc engine from Bajaj but tuned for better performance and mileage. The engine will be mated to a five-speed gearbox.
It is expected that the new motorcycle will be equipped with ABS as it will be mandatory for motorcycles with 125cc or above engine capacity.
The Bajaj V125 is likely to be slotted as a premium 125cc motorcycle as the company did with the V15. We can also expect the updated BSIV engine to meet stricter emission norms.
The 125cc V motorcycle is expected to be launched with a price tag of around Rs 53,000. The motorcycle will deliver a healthy mileage figure of around 45 to 50km/l depending on the road conditions. We also expect Bajaj will offer more color options with this motorcycle.
Earlier it was expected that the Bajaj V12 will be launched within this calendar year. But with the delay in the launch of Bajaj Dominar the V12 may be launched in January 2017.
