Aspar Ducati Award Bagnaia MotoGP Try Out Post Valencia GP

Jorge Martin currently manages a Moto3 and MotoGP team. In MotoGP, Jorge Martin manages a satellite Ducati team, while in Moto3 he manages a Mahindra factory outfit. Now, he has decided to provide Francesco Bagnaia with a reward for his Moto3 performance.

Francesco Bagnaia has delivered two race wins for Aspar Mahindra Racing Team in Moto3 2016 season. Bagnaia secured wins for Mahindra at the Assen GP and Malaysian GP. Jorge Martin will reward Bagnaia with an opportunity to try out the Aspar Ducati machinery post-Valencia GP.

A bet between Francesco Bagnaia and Gino Borsoi for the Ducati reward was set. Bagnaia had sat on Eugene Laverty's MotoGP race machine and asked to try it out. It was then decided that if he could secure another win he could try the Aspar Ducati machine at the Valencia test.

It will also be a going away gift to Francesco Bagnaia by Jorge Martin. Bagnaia will be moving from Moto3 to Moto2 with Team VR46 Team for 2017 Championship. Riding a MotoGP machine directly from a Moto3 machine will be a dream come true for Francesco Bagnaia.

So far, Aspar Ducati has confirmed that Francesco Bagnaia can do a couple of laps. Bagnaia, however, plans to ride the Ducati MotoGP machine till it runs out of fuel. It will be interesting to see if Francesco Bagnaia can get on to terms with the power generated by MotoGP machines.
