Aprilia SR 150 Priced At Rs. 65,000; Launch Slated For August 2016
Aprilia India confirms that the SR 150 scooter will cost Rs. 65,000 as an introductory offer price. Bookings for Aprilia SR 150 will commence soon across India through Piaggio Group's distributor network. The scooter from the Italian-based manufacturer will be launched sometime during August.
Powering the Aprilia SR 150 is a 150cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. At this moment, Aprilia has not revealed to us performance figures of the scooter. The Aprilia SR 150 will ride on 14-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, with disc brakes up front. Also, the images reveal that the Aprilia SR 150 could sport a headlight that will stay on (automatic headlights), since there is no headlight on/ off switch.
The Italian-based two-wheeler manufacturer will be making the SR 150 scooter at Piaggio India's facility at Baramati, Maharashtra. The Aprilia SR 150 will be manufactured completely in India, thus attracting a very reasonable pricing.
In terms of design, the Aprilia SR 150 scooter will sport a minimalistic design philosophy. The scooter will be styled with the characteristic of a motorcycle. Ride and handling of the Aprilia SR 150 scooter will be superior against competition, as they have adequate experience in MotoGP and WSBK competition.
