Alonso & Marquez Ride Together At 2016 Honda Thanks Day
2016 Honda Thanks Day provided Marc Marquez and Fernando Alonso a chance to ride side by side once again. Several other Honda riders and drivers from other motorsport categories were also present.
Fernando Alonso and Marc Marquez had an opportunity to ride together once again. The Spanish duo rode together at the 2016 Honda Thanks Day. Both motorsport enthusiasts rode together at the Motegi circuit, which is Honda's home track as well.
Alonso rode a MotoGP race machine for the very first time at 2015 Honda Thanks Day. He once again rode the RC213V MotoGP race machine with HRC livery. Marquez, on the other hand, rode his 2016 MotoGP Championship winning Repsol Honda RC213V race machine.
2016 Honda Thanks Day began with Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez riding CBR250 Dream Cup motorcycles. Soon after that Pedrosa rode his RS125R, which he won his 125cc Championship in 2003. Marquez was giving the opportunity to ride Honda's iconic RC142 machine.
Repsol Honda MotoGP riders also drove the CR-Z 1.5 Sport Hybrid models. The duo then got on to their respective MotoGP race machines. Several other Honda riders and drivers from other racing series were also present at the 2016 Honda Thanks Day.
Jenson Button who has confirmed that 2016 Formula One season could be his last competitive year was also present. Honda awarded him the opportunity to drive their NSX Concept GT model. The British F1 Champion took Dani Pedrosa with him for a spin around Motegi.
