2016 MRF Rally Of Two-Wheelers Leg At Coimbatore Begins On July 16
The 2016 Coimbatore leg of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Rally Championship for two-wheelers fourth round set to begin on July 16, 2016. The two-day event will see about 50 riders competing for the win.
Organised by the Coimbatore Auto Sports Club and promoted by Godspeed, Pune will have the riders rally across a mix of dirt and gravel special stages.
The 50 riders will participate in seven classes, National championship Super Bike (Pro Expert, Group A and Expert), Super Sport 130 Group B, Super Sport 165 Group B, Super Sport 260 Group B, Super Sport 400 Group B, Super Sport 550 Group B and Scooter 210 Group B, said the club secretary, J Prithviraj.
He also said there will be another category called 'Star of Tamil Nadu' for riders exclusively from Tamil Nadu, which has about 20 riders for this event. The event will see both domestic and imported bikes, which will be seen on the main rally on July 17.
The documentation, scrutiny, riders briefing, recce, and other formalities will be done on July 16. TVS Racing's Abdul Waheed Tanveer who won the last three rounds and has a good lead on winning the national title.
The specification of the rally include a distance of 145km and the Special Stage will be of 70km. There will be two stages, the LMW Stage of 13.9km and the Premier Stage of 10.95km.
The rally will be flagged off by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), R Sivakumar.
