Yamaha YZF-R3 India Launch On 11th August; Expected Price 3,20,000
The YZF-R3 is one the most anticipated launches by Yamaha across several markets. The Japanese manufacturer has launched its YZF-R3 only in Europe and United States of America.
Yamaha will now be introducing the YZF-R3 sportsbike in India on 11th August, 2015. Currently the company was offering only the YZF-R15 in India and did not have a product in the quarter-litre segment.
Competition, however, has moved away from quarter-litre segment and into slightly larger displacement. Yamaha too, has moved into this new segment to grab the enthusiasts' attention.
Here are the details of Yamaha's YZF-R3 sportsbike:
- Engine: 321cc in-line two cylinder, liquid-cooled
- Horsepower: 41.42
- Torque: 29.6 Nm
- Gearbox: 6-speed constant mesh
- Top speed: 187 kph
The YZF-R3 from Yamaha will compete with the likes of the KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 300, DSK Benelli TNT 300 and the soon-to-be-launched Honda CBR300R. We are expecting an ex-showroom price tag of INR 3,20,000.
Yamaha will be bringing this product to India via the Completely Knocked Down route. The YZF-R3 will be locally assembled and is expected to sport ABS as standard safety equipment.
