Yamaha R&D India Appoints Yasuo Ishihara As President
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha has recently announced their latest appointment. They have appointed Yasuo Ishihara as President of Yamaha Motor Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd.
Yasuo Ishihara will take over Toshikazu Kobayashi, Managing director from 15th March, 2015. Ishihara has been working with Yamaha for the past 29 years and continues. He has served as the GM at Yamaha Motor Vietnam taking care of research and development.
Yasuo Ishihara commented on his appointment, saying, "Every role brought in the prospect to learn and contribute over the 29 years of my association with Yamaha. However, this is the most exciting and challenging role for me so far and I am overwhelmed at this opportunity."
He further added, "Yamaha is known for its stylish and innovative product line-up which makes it the most exciting brand in the two-wheeler industry in India. I wish to carry forward Yamaha's legacy of continuous innovation in making products to delight our customers."
Yamaha Motor Research and Development India Pvt. Ltd. is located at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has five overseas R&D centres. They currently have centres in China, Italy, India, Taiwan, Thailand and headquarter in Japan.
The Japanese manufacturer is expected to launch its quarter-litre motorcycle in India this year. Yamaha will also be focussing on improving its scooter segment by introducing a new scooter by 2015-end. YZF-R25 is the most anticipated launch and is expected to come soon.
