TVS Motors launch Apache RTR 180 ABS model in an all-new Matte Blue Edition. Currently regular Apache RTR 180 ABS costs INR 87,282 (ex-showroom, Delhi), however, this special edition will cost an additional INR 1,500 to INR 2,000.
No mechanical or design changes have been made by TVS Motors to their Apache RTR 180 ABS. It will retain existing engine and performance figures along with similar design.
The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has begun promoting their Apache RTR 180 ABS Matte Blue Edition. They have, however, not revealed any details and we expect it to go on sale ahead of the festive season.
Apache RTR 180 ABS Matte Blue Edition is powered by a 177.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It has been tuned to produce 17.03 horsepower and 15.5 Nm of peak torque while the engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
TVS also provides their Apache RTR 180 motorcycle with dual-channel ABS. Up front is a 270mm roto petal disc and rear gets 200mm roto petal disc with ABS and RLP.
TVS provides their motorcycle with digital speedometer and analogue tachometer. The digital part gets a blue backlight for a cool and calming effect. It is all encased in a carbon fibre race inspired cowl.
The Indian manufacturer has also tied up with BMW Motorrad to develop a 300cc motorcycle. German two-wheeler manufacturer has already revealed to us their concept model and the duo is expected to introduce their models by 2016.
