Upcoming TVS Apache 200 To Feature BMW Motorrad's Liquid-Cooling System
TVS upcoming Apache 200 motorcycle will receive a liquid-cooling system, which will be developed by BMW Motorrad. TVS Motors and BMW Motorrad are teaming up to develop new motorcycles. Recently, BMW revealed its production ready model of their G 310 R motorcycle.
BMW Motorrad is offering several technical know-how for Apache 200. The liquid-cooling technology will be identical to that BMW uses in their GS motorcycles. A single-cylinder 200cc engine will power the Apache 200.
Regarding design, TVS Apache 200 will receive several cues from the Draken concept. The Apache 200 will not be based on TVS's existing Apache range of motorcycles. There will be little to no shared components between existing and upcoming Apache models.
The Apache 200 naked street fighter will not receive Anti-lock braking system (ABS) initially; however, TVS Motors will provide ABS at a later stage. There is also a possibility that the Apache 200 could ride on Pirelli Sport Demon tubeless tyres.
Other features on Apache 200 will be a monoshock rear suspension, fully digital instrument console, LED tail lights, disc brakes front and rear, split seats, and well-integrated fuel filler cap. TVS Motors is also expected to develop an all-new chassis that will promises precise handling.
The Apache 200 and BMW G 310 R motorcycle are expected to make their Indian debut next year. Both motorcycles will be showcased at 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. BMW Motorrad and TVS Motors will launch their products in the following months.
