Suzuki India Confirms Launch Of GSX-S & GSX-1000SF Via Website

Suzuki Motorcycle India Limited is gaining confidence in the domestic market. Their recent products have been an instant hit with general public.

We had earlier reported that the Japanese manufacturer would be introducing two new litre-class bikes in India. Suzuki has now confirmed this through their Indian website.

The GSX-S1000 ABS and GSX-S1000F ABS have been confirmed on Suzuki's India website that it will be coming soon. It is still not confirmed whether these bikes will be introduced as CBUs or as CKDs.

Both GSX-S1000 ABS and GSX-S1000F ABS will share the same Suzuki Engine:

• Engine: 999cc in-line four, fuel injected, DOHC
• Horsepower: 144
• Torque: 105.75 Nm
• Gearbox: 6-Speed constant mesh
• Top speed: 241 kph

Suzuki will be providing both motorcycles with ABS as standard equipment. These motorcycles will also have several other safety features to make it a fun to ride bike.

GSX-S1000 ABS will be Suzuki's naked street fighter offering, while GSX-S1000F will their fully-faired motorcycle. They will be offered in two colours Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Black/ Candy Daring Red.

It is expected to launch soon and Suzuki will reveal its pricing at that point. We believe these motorcycles will be priced in the range of INR 10,00,000 to INR 15,00,000 ex-showroom.
