Royal Enfield To Introduce New Motorcycles In 2016-2017
Royal Enfield has confirmed that it is working on new motorcycles. The Indian manufacturer will be launching a host of new motorcycles between 2016 to 2017. Their goal is to widen their customer base by offering different motorcycles that suit various needs.
The first to be launched by Royal Enfield will be a motorcycle that will resemble a scrambler. They have already trademarked the name for this motorcycle and is expected to be launched by early 2016. Royal Enfield has christened this motorcycle as the ‘Himalayan'. It will be a 400cc motorcycle based on their 350cc engine, which is currently on offer.
The second expected motorcycle will be a cruiser and true to their DNA. Royal Enfield plans to space out their offerings and it will be launched in 2017. So, far the manufacturer has not named this motorcycle. No engine details have been revealed so far.
The third and most enticing engine proposition will be a parallel-twin 750cc machine. Royal Enfield has not revealed any other detail regarding this motorcycle. It is most likely all three of them will be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
Royal Enfield will be investing in two new facilities for their future motorcycles. The first will be a facility in Chennai, while the second will be set up in United Kingdom. Both these new facilities will contribute to the three motorcycles to be launched during 2016 to 2017.
Recently the Indian manufacturer had introduced an all-new logo to symbolise their new path. Royal Enfield's last new motorcycle was their Continental GT also known as the Cafe Racer. These new products are expected to boost sales as well as bring new customers to the brand.
