Royal Enfield Acquire Harris Performance For Future Motorcycles
More and more Indian companies are acquiring international companies in the automotive world. The reasons for acquisition are different for everyone, however, it is a positive for Indians.
Royal Enfield has now acquired Harris Performance Products Ltd. Eicher Motors is the owner of Royal Enfield and has not disclosed the value of this acquisition.
The Indian two-wheeler company will take charge of every asset, trade name, employee, technology and intellectual property. Harris Performance will now be dedicated to Royal Enfield products.
Harris Performance is the only UK manufacturer to have worked with both Yamaha and Suzuki. Their expertise were utilised to develop and design bikes for Grand Prix racing.
The UK firm played a major role in the chassis development of Royal Enfield's Continental GT. This motorcycle is sold globally and has been highly appreciated by several aficionados.
Entire staff working currently for Harris Performance will now be working under Royal Enfield leadership.They will be charged with the duty of developing their future motorcycles.
