Rossi & Lorenzo Battle To Intensify At Valencia GP For The Championship
The Sepang clash between Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez did not end post race. What followed was a blame game, pointing fingers, and picking sides. The Championship is between Rossi and Lorenzo, however, Marquez has involved himself in it.
Valentino was handed three penalty points on his license, taking the total to four, as he received one at Misano. The penalty point in Misano was for obstructing Lorenzo who was setting a lap time.
The penultimate round has Rossi starting from the back of the grid in Valencia GP. This puts the multiple MotoGP Champion in a huge disadvantage. All that 'The Doctor' can hope for is a blistering pace and several riders hindering Lorenzo to break from the pack.
For sure at Valencia the wall will return in Yamaha Movistar paddock. Yamaha has expressed displeasure in Lorenzo's attitude, towards Rossi and the Sepang clash. Lorenzo had requested to cancel Rossi's penalty and demanded harsher punishment.
MotoGP officials have warned all riders not to get involved between Championship contenders, and even cancelled Thursday's official press conference thus, avoiding sparks between Rossi, Lorenzo, and Marquez.
Rossi admits racing at Valencia will be difficult and promises to put on a show for his fans. 'The Doctor' still has a bleak chance at winning his tenth title. We are confident he will ride like there's no tomorrow and give his best for 2015 MotoGP Championship.
So far, Rossi has a small advantage according to us. The Doctor does not have to worry about qualifying pace and can solely concentrate on setting up his bike for the race. Valentino Rossi is consistently lapping at the same pace set by Lorenzo and Marquez, however, Rossi's start will be critical, we wonder if weather could play a role in the final round.
