Polaris Contemplating An Indian Motorcycle Within INR 10,00,000
Indian Motorcycles is currently owned by Polaris Industries and has introduced its products in India as well. They recently launched their two new products in the country called Dark Horse and Indian Roadmaster.
Currently their most affordable offering is the Indian Scout, which is priced at 11,99,900 ex-showroom, Delhi. Their most expensive product is the Roadmaster that bears price tag of INR 34,95,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.
Now Polaris Industries has realised that there is great potential in Indian market. To compete with other cruiser bike makers in India, Indian Motorcycles will have to locally assemble their products.
Polaris is planning on a sub INR 10,00,000 cruiser motorcycle by Indian Motorcycles for certain markets. The American based cruiser bike maker would surely benefit from a reduction in price.
They also plan to bring most of their products to India via the Completely Knocked Down route. Indian Motorcycles will then locally assemble these two-wheelers, which will attract lower import duties.
