Norton Developing 1200cc V4 Engine With 200 Horsepower Output
Norton Motorcycles is not a common name in the two-wheeler segment of this part of the world. The British based manufacturer is known for their classic designed retro motorcycles.
Over the years they have began to move ahead with time and develop motorcycles for modern buyers. Norton Motorcycles still remain exclusive and quality is of the highest standard.
The British bike manufacturer is now developing an all-new sportbike from the ground up. It will sport a 1200cc V4 engine, which will be capable of producing a 200 horsepower output.
Team Norton has taken part in the legendary Isle of Man TT, where they have gathered much needed information. Engineers will use this data for their production model, which will be offered in several markets.
Most parts for Norton superbike will be hand-made, like the chassis, while the bodywork will formed out of carbon fibre. It will be launched in two variants, most likely a street and track-only version.
So far, no name has been given to the Norton Sportbike and it will receive one soon. It is expected to be priced in excess of INR 30,00,000 which will put it out of reach of most enthusiasts.
