Mahindra-Peugeot Win Round One Of Italian Motorcycle Racing
The first round of the Italian National Motorcycle Racing Championships was contested at Misano Circuit in Italy. Mahindra had participated previously and this year they take part as Mahindra-Peugeot.
Marco Bezzecchi is currently riding for Minimoto Portomaggiore, who use the Mahindra-Peugeot MGP30 motorcycle. He stood first in both races at round one, showcasing that the bike has great potential.
The Indian manufacturer witnessed double success during first race. Fabio Spiranelli also onboard Minimoto Portomaggiore was on podium in race one, however, in race two he managed to finish in fifth place.
Mahindra has won the constructors championship once in 2012 in 125GP class. Their second constructors title was won during 2013 in the Moto3 class of CIV.
The next rounds will be held at Vallelunga circuit on 16th to 17th May, 2015. Mahindra-Peugeot will like to extend their lead in the championship with Team Minimoto Portomaggiore.
Their race winning motorcycles are expected to boost Mahindra's global presence. They are currently developing their Mojo motorcycle which will be offered in international markets as well.
