KTM To Enter MotoGP 2017 Championship & Offer Race Replicas
For every manufacturer to prove that they are the best sportbike manufacturer they need to take part in motorsports. The pinnacle of two-wheeler racing is MotoGP and winning the constructors championship has its own perks.
Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer, KTMs motto is simple ‘Ready To Race'. They currently compete in smaller categories like Moto3.
KTM also participate in Dakar Rally and other off-road challenges and dominates these competitions. They will now be trying their luck in the premier class of racing, MotoGP.
They will be entering as a factory team for 2017 championship and are currently developing a race winning machine. They have not yet decided who will ride their motorcycles in MotoGP.
Current trend among manufacturers is to launch MotoGP motorcycles that are street legal. Honda launched its RC213V-S, which is based on their MotoGP bike and developed by Marquez and Pedrosa.
Post the introduction RC16 by KTM in MotoGP, they will introduce a street friendly version of it in 2018. It will sport a 1000cc V4 engine and will surely be ‘Ready To Race'.
KTM has developed its RC200 and RC390 range based on their Moto3 bike. The Austrian manufacturer believes in providing race machines that can be used by fun-loving people everyday.
