Video: Jorge Lorenzo Suffers Burns During MotoGP World Title Celebration
Jorge Lorenzo won his third MotoGP Championship at Valencia GP by beating Valentino Rossi by five points. Lorenzo resides in Mallorca, Spain and his family, friends, and fans organised a party for the rider. Unfortunately, Lorenzo suffered a mishap during this celebration.
In the video, you can see Jorge Lorenzo on board his Yamaha Movistar YZF-M1. All of a sudden his motorcycle goes up in flames. Luckily he was wearing his full leather suit and has suffered minor burns.
Lorenzo commented, the injuries sustained during the celebration are not major. He further added that after suffering the collarbone injury, nothing could hurt anymore. The Spaniard suffered burns on his ankle and knee on the left leg.
2015 MotoGP Championship was filled with controversy, and the Championship battle went down to the wire. Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were the two title contenders; however, the battle between Rossi and Marquez will be most remembered in 2015.
Luckily, Jorge Lorenzo finished the first pre-season testing in Valencia circuit. He rode his 2015 Yamaha M1 with the new Michelin tyres and ECU systems. Lorenzo found the new changes different and admitted adapting to these changes will be a challenge for 2016.
