Indian Motorcycles will be present at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The all-new Scout Sixty is expected to make its Indian debut at the auto show, which was showcased for the very first globally at the 2015 EICMA Motor Show in Milan.
The Scout Sixty is expected to launch in the Indian market by mid-2016, post its debut at Auto Expo. Indian Motorcycles currently offers its entire portfolio in the country, through exclusive dealerships. All cruiser motorcycles from Indian Motorcycles are imported as Completely Built Units (CBU) and Scout Sixty will be no different.
Powering 2016 Indian Scout Sixty is an all-new 999cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled engine. In terms of performance, the engine will produce 78bhp and 88.8Nm of peak torque. Indian Motorcycle engineers will pair the new engine with a 5-speed gearbox with power being provided through a belt drive system.
2016 Scout Sixty is the most affordable cruiser from Indian Motorcycles portfolio. In the United States of America, 2016 India Scout Sixty costs USD 8,999 or Rs. 6.04 lakh India equivalent. If the new cruiser is launched in India at highly competitive prices, it could take on Harley-Davidson and Triumph Motorcycles.
The Scout Sixty cruiser will be available in three colour options. Indian Motorcycles will offer Thunder Black, Indian Red, and Pearl White paint schemes. Use of chrome will be limited and most parts will powder coated Black. Stay tuned for more updates from Indian Motorcycles.
