Honda India To Launch 15 New Models In 2015
Japanese two-wheeler giant, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Pvt. Ltd. has a wide range of products on offer. They have now decided to launch 15 new models in 2015 for India. These will include refreshes as well as totally new models.
On 4th February, 2015 Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. launched five new models. The Japanese manufacturer provided mild facelifts to its current motorcycles and scooters. These included the Activa, Dio, CB Shine, Dream Yuga and Dream Neo.
Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. commented, "With India contribution reaching 25% of global Honda motorcycle sales this year; India is and will remain Honda's priority market globally. However, I consider 50,00,000 units to be the turning point of Honda in India."
Yadvinder S Guleria, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt, Ltd. expressed, "Honda will surprise Indian customers across scooter and motorcycle segments in 2015. Starting with the launch of new CB Unicorn 160 in January 2015, Honda has re-activated the Indian two-wheeler market with 6 new offerings in just 2 months."
Honda has provided its Dio, Dream Yuga and Dream Neo with all new colours and graphics. It will also sport an all new red coloured logo on the engine. They have also provided its CB Shine with a minor upgrade. The motorcycle gets better graphics, new visor, redesigned tail lamp, sharper looking tank and better looking alloy wheels. They will also provide its Combi-Braking System as a safety feature.
The Japanese manufacturer has also launched its third generation Activa. It is priced at INR 48,852 ex-showroom, Delhi and gets a host of new features. The scooter will be powered by the same reliable engine. They have improved the stance of their scooter, along with the side panels, tail light and winkers being redesigned.
