Honda CBR650F To Be Locally Assembled & Launched In July, 2015
Japanese two-wheeler giant, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India had displayed a wide range of models at the 2014 Auto Expo, held in New Delhi. Present at the show was an array of upcoming motorcycles, scooter and concept models as well.
Honda India had confirmed that several of these products will be launched in India. Out of them the most anticipated launch is of their CBR650F model. The Japanese manufacturer had promised to launch this product soon and also committed to local assembly to achieve lower pricing of the motorcycle.
The CBR650F will be powered by an in-line four-cylinder 649cc engine. Japanese engineers have tuned the motorcycle to produce 85.8 bhp, along with 63 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be wrapped around a steel diamond chassis and will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Honda has confirmed that they would be launching 15 new products in the Indian market and so far they have already launched six of them. The CBR650F is their model to enter into the premium segment in India. Honda Officials have confirmed that a July, 2015 launch is slated for their mid-size supersport machine.
In terms of pricing the Honda CBR650F will be brought to India in the Completely Knocked Down(CKD) state. This will facilitate the manufacturer to price their motorcycle competitively. We believe the supersport motorcycle will be priced between INR 7,00,000 to INR 8,00,000 on road.
