Honda CB Shine SP (125cc) To Launch In India On Nov. 19
Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India will be launching the CB Shine SP motorcycle on November 19, 2015. You can watch the launch of the motorcycle live with us below. The 'SP' in the new commuter motorcycle stands for Smart Power by Honda.
Smart Power by Honda is a start/stop engine system for motorcycles. The engine will switch off during idle and while, at a standstill, it will switch back on when the clutch is disengaged. This technology is expected to improve fuel economy figures. We can also expect the CB Shine SP to be low on emissions.
The CB Shine SP will be the 14th product to be launched in India during 2015. Honda India had promised to introduce 15 new products in 2015. Glimpses of the CB Shine SP were revealed during this year's RevFest, as a mystery motorcycle.
Powering the Honda CB Shine SP will be a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The engine is most likely to offer 10.57bhp along with 10.3Nm of peak torque and will be paired to a 4-speed gearbox. So far, fuel economy figures have not been disclosed by Honda.
Honda's CB Shine SP will be based on the standard commuter motorcycle. It will, however, adorn a more sporty front cowling, full chain cover, clear indicator lenses, new tail light, side panels in silver, and black grab rail. All these features are expected to make the commuter motorcycle a more desirable product.
Stay tuned for pricing and our first impression of Honda's CB Shine SP motorcycle. You can watch the launch of CB Shine SP live through the webcast below.
